Founders Global was born from Eugene Malobrodsky's experiences at the f.ounders event during WebSummit. As the founder of AnchorFree and the creator of HotSpot Shield, a top consumer VPN, Eugene realized the significant benefits of sharing insights and challenges with other innovators. His participation in f.ounders not only offered new perspectives but also improved his business decision-making.

After his tenure at AnchorFree, Eugene joined One Way Ventures, focusing on immigrant founders. He continued attending f.ounders, as well as inviting entrepreneurs from his portfolio to the event. The overwhelmingly positive feedback from these entrepreneurs mirrored his own beneficial experiences, fueling his passion for such gatherings. With wanting to keep in touch with the community, the idea was born to create a platform for people to stay connected after the event so they could help each other outside of the conference setting.
